OT- Radio Controlled Fords

I have a nephew who is seriously into Fords, and has a birthday coming up. I was thinking (he's eight) that a radio remote controlled car might be nice. Does anyone know if there are any Ford models available (preferably under around $80)?

Lastability

Ok so I'm making up words here. Of all the current Ford line up, what maintains its value the best, as in depreciates the slowest? And which is likely to last the longest with little maintenance needed?

Importing Foreign Fords

If, hypothetically you wanted to import a Ford that wasn't made or sold in this country, how would you manage to do it? Would Ford help you at all, or would you have to contact a specialist company?

Specialist Modifications

As a left hander, I find that many tasks in life are awkward-because quite simply we are living in a right handed world. The same goes for driving, and quite honestly if I won the lottery I think I'd consider getting a car modified to suit me better.

Or maybe I should just move to the UK where all cars would suit! Anyone else struggle with being caggy handed?

Replacement Criteria

At what point do you decide that it's time to replace your Ford? I think that spare parts are not a huge problem for Fords, and so I never worried about that.

But cost is an issue. When a car costs too much to keep repairing, its time to get rid. My choice was always that a single repair that cost $500 or more, then the car was done.

Ford Drives U

Ford Motor Company is targeting the college age consumer through their Ford Drives U Facebook page. The page promotes a $500 incentive to college students toward their purchase or lease of a new 2007 or 2008 Ford, Mercury or Lincoln. My only concern with this program is to question whether we really should encourage this type of debt among college students. Most college students have taken out loans for school and will have to take out loans for a new car. In my opinion, this program is helping to add more fuel to an already debt-saturated demographic.

Dealing With the Heat

My car is black. Its the height of summer. This is bad news.

I have a child restraint in the back that gets so hot that we can't strap the child in for up to ten minutes after we start the car-needing instead to let it cool down.

How can I stop it overheating? I already use shades.

Ford Falcons?

Is it just me or am I missing the obvious… there doesn't seem to be a section for the various models of Ford Falcon, or is there? If it doesn't exist, perhaps it could be added because they are very common and popular cars.

Nice to be here. I am a lifelong Taurus owner, and don't plan on changing that any time soon. Its a wonderful car, and a cute color too :D I'm in south PA, and two others in my immediate family have a Taurus. It seems popular around here!

Ford News Section

Somewhere we can put news articles and announcements from Ford that aren't specific to one car model? We really need somewhere to put general conversations and news instead of trying to make it fit a category.
