About Ride

Ride Status: Currently Own
Purchased: 2000

How did you acquire your ride?

Ordered it new! Optioned out just the way I wanted it. At the time I thought I didn't want leather but in retrospect I wished I had ordered it. Oh, well, live and learn, right? (I made sure I was getting leather when I searched for my '09)

What drew you to it when you bought it?

I never cared for the '94-98 "jellybean" styling all that much... but I really liked the New Edge design right from the get-go. I was too late to get a 35th Anniversary car but I ordered this car to mimic that, right down to the Performance Red color.

What do you feel like when you drive it?

I like it, very comfortable. I drive this car almost every day, so it has to be something I like. This was my first GT. My previous Mustang was an LX four cylinder that was so underpowered the only thing it could pass was a gas station.

What would you change about your car, if anything?

Looking into louvers for the rear window partly because I like louvers, and also it would compliment my '09 which is outfitted with them as well. I'm also considering a radio that I can plug my iPod into and not have to carry so many CDs around.

What is your dream accessory for it and why?

A sunroof would be nice. But what it really needs is a complete repaint.

Any other general ride info to share?

I've installed a honeycomb rear panel between the taillights, and it also has sequential taillights installed. That was the first modification I made to this car back when I bought it.
