Nice…that was my first sho…only mine was black pearl…the one you see i have now has a long rebuild ahead of it…its in storage at the moment…
Have you had the cams done yet? Good idea to get them done if you havent before you loose the engine…
Thanks, cool, and yea they were welded about 30,000 miles ago
Good deal…mine never had that problem before it got wrecked on me but i did know about it…whats the fastest youve had it up to? My second sho(first 1990) i had topped to 164(hence the s/n) my white one(now) topped at 170 @ 7600rpms…boy what a wild ride…if ya got any tech qs about yours let me know…i specialize in these cars big time…:)
I haven't topped it out or raced it because I'm. Try to keep it in good running condition while I'm going to college
Oh hey…i forgot to tell you…the yamaha 3.0 and the duratech3.4 litre were designed with one thing in mind…race…these motors( 3.4 with welded cams) will handle all you can give them…babying either is a big problem honestly…these engines dont like carbon…you dont have to race or top it out but dont baby it constantly…once they start to build carbon on the valves it starts eating the valve seatings and its an oil burner after…had that problem with my v8 and first v6…expensive fix…not tellin you to beat on it…just push it a little( just good advice bud thats all)
