
The Fiesta STR will be tuned for 160 or so whp or more importantly, 12:1 weight to power ratio to race in the MotoIQ Pacific Tuner Car Championship in the Tuner Under class this year as well as a few N.A.S.A. Endurance races leading up to the season finale; NASA's 25hours of Thunderhill. The brand new 1.6L motor is still completely stock from the valve cover to the oil pan and will be put to the test all year with a Rotrax supercharger. This highly efficient centrifugal supercharger should only need to push 5–6lbs of boost to make the power we need.
Modifications not in the drop boxes include, in no particular order: Rotrax centrifugal supercharger, CXRacing intercooler and s/c piping, APR rear wing and front splitter, H&R coilovers, custom goldcoastautomotive.com top secret rear sway bar and camber kit, Fly by wire converted to cable throttle, OEM Ford Focus Duratec throttle body, Borla header, Performance Electronics PE-3 ECU, EFIwest “FIA+” 6 point cage with integrated strut tower bracing, Kyowa Racing wheels, Tires to be decided, and I'm sure I'm missing a few bits.
