I've had this car 10 years. In that time i've done a hell of a lot to it, i've also “undone” a lot of that! It's had big engines, stripped interior and has almost gone full circle back to standard. Here's how she sits at the moment.
Engine is the factory fitted (again, lol) 1.1 Valencia engine. It's only modifications are Weber 32IBF carb with K&N Filter. The gearbox is a 4 speed manual. I also have a few chrome and stainless steel touches under the bonnet. Mainly to draw attention away from the dirt.
The suspension is an aftermarket “G-max” kit, springs and Gas dampers bringing the car down around 40mm. To go with that a stronger rear panhard rod from the sportier “XR2” version was fitted as the stock ones are known to snap when the car is lowered.
The brakes are stock items, also taken from an XR2 version. Although still a huge improvement over standard. The hoses are Goodrich braided.
The car has two sets of wheels, the winter ones pictured above, steel version, the same as those fitted to XR2's. Quite rare to get hold of now. With 185/60/13 tyres. The other set I have are Ford Alloy Wheels from the aftermarket catalouge designed for the “Ford KA” with 165/65/13 tyres.
The body is pretty much as stock with the addition of “Ghia” bumpers, aftermarket rear lights and front indicators, aswell as front fog lights it also has a Ford badge on the bonnet that lights up lol.
The interior is also pretty much stock again, with the only aditions being Sony headunit with USB drive, Kenwood 10cm speakers to replace factory units. “OMP Ergo” Nylon gearknob and steering wheel from XR2 version.
Security is a Toad system with the addition of remote central locking.
So that's pretty much where it's at now.
