1976 Cadillac Mirage Sports Wagon (1 of 104 Built)
(Steve Plunkett who is the annual Host of the Show owns this vehicle, its just one of many, many of his Collection)
Built by traditional Coachworks in Chaswrth, California. From 1974–77 the legendary car customizer Gene Winfield was employed at this company helping to launch the new Cadillac product line. These entirely hand-built Mirage cars were converted from new when Cadillac dealers sent Coupe de Villes to traditional coach works. Gene's expertise is in the field of metal and fibreglass fabrication. The trunk bed is all one piece fibreglass and the tailgate and long, narrow chrome mouldings around the vinyl are all hand made. Only 104 of these digital fuel injected Mirage sport wagons were produced in 1976.
Traditional Coachworks also converted 1976 Fleetwood Four-Door Broughams into what they called Castillian Fleetwood Estate wagons in the same factory.
