1970 Mach1 Standard Equipments

** 351–2V (Windsor or Cleveland) The 351– 2V remained as the standard Mach1 power plant.

** 3 Speed manual transmission

** Non-functional hood scoop The non-functional hood scoop is standard with 351–2V & 4V and 428 (Q) code engine.

** Shaker hood The shaker hood is standard with 428 ® code engine. Optional with 351–2V & 351– 4V.

** Twist-type hood latches

** Special grille with unique driving lamps

** Mach1 hood treatments The 1970 Mach1 hood features a wide, paint stripe down the center of the hood, either low-gloss black or white depending upon the body color. A thinner tape stripe surrounds the large stripe. The engine size is inserted into the stripe on each side of the hood scoop.

** Dual color-keyed racing mirrors

** Aluminum rocker panel molding Unique to the 1970 Mach1: The charcoal moldings are finned and feature die-cast “MACH1 " lettering on the front fender.

** Wide deck lid tape stripe Either black or white depending upon the body color, with die-cast " MACH1 " centered on the rear of the deck lid.

** Black honeycomb rear panel appliqué

** Pop-open gas cap
