Great home away from home.
Hi OrigamiDon , I'm so glad to see that you have joined coolfords.com, plus have made some friends and added some uploaded photos. I was telling jason and wild-n-cars all about the great photos you have on the flicker group of mine (Prince Performance Ford) already I see wild-is-wild over your home office…...plus me. I think I'll get one each for my 2 sons and clean out their rooms for my stuff. I'd love to learn more about this great Idea, what are all the things you've added and what are some of the things you wish it had?

Thanks for the comments and questions, Cadreema.
[1] what are all the things you've added? Aside from minor cosmetic repairs, caulking, minor insulating and parts replacements, the only upgrade to date is the replacement (during the heat of this past summer) of the rear ceiling vent (with the original screwup & down only, flat aluminum lid) with a bi-directional, variable-speed 12v fan, and with a ‚smoky‘ dome lid. It dramatically helps with venting and cooling (even while rolling); and, because the fan blades are clear, provides a dandy rear skylight.
[2] what are some of the things you wish it had? Well, this morning when I woke at 5:30a, it was 23 degrees out and 48 degrees inside. I turned up the thermostat and fired up the propane furnace, and started a kettle on the propane stove top for coffee; all normal. Popped open my Mac laptop, started checking email, reading the morning news, bulletin boards & blogs. Getting impatient for coffee, I look over to watch the lovely blue flame under the kettle shrinking toward zero. I bundle up, grab some vicegrips, and go outside to the back deck and swap to tank two, and hustle back inside to relight the kettle, the furnace and the frig. Back to normal. Mmmm, heat; mmmm, coffee. SHORTER answer: beside the obvious INSULATION, propane improvements. I'm having a larger (80–100 gal) tank delivered, to take me warmly to 1/1/08. At that point, when my soon-to-be ex-wife goes overseas for four months, I move indoors and mothball my housebus until the Spring. ••• More later on my wish list for when the eGypsy is rolling.
