Air con seems to be always on??
Hi folks, I have a problem with my air con in so much that it always seems to be on!!
I notice it now the weather is warmer that there is cold air coming out of the vents, cold enough to make condensation appear on the bottom of the windscreen (more so in the mornings). The air con light is off but it still seems to be pumping out cold air.
I spoke to Ford and they said it sounds like a fault, maybe the switch.
I wondered if anyone else had come across this and if it was something I could fix before I let Ford have the car and charge me a fotune?
Are you sure the knob isn't
Are you sure the knob isn't to the on position? I have done this afew times and fully confused myself on it and went WHAT?! Then realized days later what I had done.
You must have the defroster
You must have the defroster on or at least the switch in that position. I have seen the same thing because when the defroster is on and set to cold it blows cold air and not whatever the outside temp is like when it is on vent.

I had the same problem
I had the same problem with my Contour. It didn't seem to have anything to do with the defroster other than the fact that I had to turn the defroster on to get rid of the moisture. We never were able to figure out exactly what the problem was.

I can't say I'm quite
I can't say I'm quite understanding what you mean, but I know our escape can put out air cold enough to condense if its not too humid and just set to cold and vent I believe. It has to actually be set to forcably put out air though.
