For less than 500 bucks it used to be an old taxi, i think it had over 300,000miles on it. He blew the transmission in two weeks.

My Mother-in-law had one a few years back and she loved it. She was really upset when she couldn't get another. She said it always made her feel safe and was the most reliable car she ever owned.

Was he trying to drive it at high speeds like the coppers do? I thought in some states you couldnt buy these types at auctions or anything.

My grandmother had a Crown Victoria for many years, as did my neighbors.

Personally I was always more of a Mustang person, but I still did love the designs that they had for Crown Victoria.

A real nice looking car line.

Yeah, the old ones definitely had style

Unfortunately, the Crown Victoria of the old days would be considered a gas hog now. I can't picture filling the tank on a car the size of my uncles's old Crown Victoria. She fit all of us kids in the backseat, though.

What a dream car that was

When I was in high school, my best friend's first car was a long white 1983 Crown Victoria. It was huge, loud and had a few miscellaneous rust spots here and there. Oh how she hated that car! She would even come in late to school sometimes because she was afraid everyone would see her driving it. What was really funny was that she had mistakenly believed that her Dad was going to buy her a new car when she turned 16. Unfortunately, he bought her mom a new car and handed the keys to „The Ghost Bomb“ (as she called it) to my friend. But really, I didn't think it was all that bad considering my little Ford Escort was sitting in our garage not running at the time.

My brother in law bought an old Crown Vic about ten years ago that used to be a police car. I do not know if they still sell old police cars here in Kentucky or not but the car he bought was pretty nice.
