Since installing the 2.5" rear wheel spacers on 17×9 rims there has been significant rub when drive on bumpy roads. So I've taken the Mustang to a local body shop and they are cutting the inside fender lip off and going to flatten the sharp metal edge. The work is getting done as we speak. I will let you know how it turns out.

Well it turns out that i have to go back and get one side trimmed a little further as its still rubbing. However the other side that was cut correctly is working great, there hasnt been any tire rub when i tested it on some bumpy roads and tight corners. There are still some sharp edges that are going to have to be filed down a bit further.
Job completed, it looks good and no more tire rub! You can not even tell that the inside fenders are cut even when your close to the car. The true test will be taking the Mustang to Fontana Speedway again and trying out the Autocross track.
I have a certain respect for a guy who tracks his daily driver. Now that is convenience. Warning, Dont try this with a Chevy. Drive carefully you mad dog. Those spacers will help you on the corners without a doubt!
