Bought a 1985 Tbird 13 months ago and just got her back from rebuild. My next project I thought was to paint the plastic interior rear panels.I was looking at this pieces and scratched one spot and found the interior colour under this grim. The sun must have been baking threw the back window for years.I say grim its like a thin layer of cement. Can anyone tell me how to clean this without scraping it off and maybe damaging the factory finish.

Found out this is sun damage and they called it chalking.I need to remove this plastic panels and I can get them bead blasted to remove the damage and then they will dye this panels back to colour.
