Hi! I have Ford Figo. Rats have nibbled my cars wiring ( inside bonnet{hood} near battery) Can any one tell me how to prevent rats for entering my cars bonnet or from nibbling my wiring?

Hi, you could try using wire loom or sleeves to cover your wires. It's like a tube sleeve that goes over your wires to protect them and keep them together. It's available in a variety of materials. This site http://cableorganizer.com/automotive/ can give you some ideas, then go do some more research. Good luck.
Keep a bar of Irish Spring soap in it while being stored. They don't like the smell and also keeps it smelling fresh

fordmastertech are you joking or does that really work ? I don't have that problen but would be a good precaution for mice
It has worked for me for years, no mice or rat problems and keeps the rides smelling fresh.

I actually had a rat living in my cars frame (front half, right where the k member if you want to call it is bolted in, and that was due to us having it off for a while a few years back (its dead now), but my solution would be to get that kinda thick wire tape, and wrap your wires with the stuff. When my dad and I make our own wiring harnesses (for stuff like electric seats, wipers, that kinda stuff), we always use the stuff to keep the wires protected. Just an idea.
been use'in irish springs bar soap in my cars 4 years I have mice in the winter and cover my cars with the windows down never any mice or damage.
