I prefer the older model ford mustangs to the newer ones. I saw a newer one the other day with the racing stripes down the center of the car and it didn't look very good. There is something about bright yellow and black stripes that turn me off.

My favorite is the 67 by far…but as for the newer ones we mustang drivers often have this dilemma.Take me for instance…I'm driving this 1999 svt cobra..the body style is more boxy than the previous ‘97 years(they were kinda round and looking like a ford Taurus)…and i love it to death don’t get me wrong…but when i drive past a newer one…like a 2008 with stripes and candy accessories etc…i wonder if i should be driving that style instead. /mustang dilemma
I think the older models are awesome. I’ve never really cared for the newer ones. I guess since I have a ‘62 you could say I’m partial to that year. But even so, there is just something about the newer Mustangs that I just don’t care for. Maybe it’s do to my teen years, and the Mustangs that we had back then. If you grew up with the older Mustangs than most likely you are partial them as well. My teen son however, loves the new Mustangs.
My favorite Mustang in the 1967 Sheby GT 500 White with blue stripes. This car too me was tops! I also like the 1965 and 1966. I dont need any more OLDER cars. They require alot of attention and usually money. Thats when I bought this …we need technology @ some point…I guess.

I'd say it's 1999 because that's when the DOHC 4.6L was introduced in Mustangs which evolved to become the powerplant of the 03/04 Cobra.
2008 Mustang GT/CS 5 speed.
Gotta love the ‘69/’70 sports roof. Can anyone say Boss 429?
The older ones are better for sure, but my favorite year overall has to be 1966, mainly because of the a/fx long chassis cars of gas rhonda, and the other well known Ford racers at the time.
The 67 fastback I think is the holy grail of mustangs,I drive a 2006 GT premium and I think that's as close as i'm going to get to a fast back.
I don't think they made mustangs in 1962 , did they?
I like the 1967 GT350..
I like the fastbacks of the 60's but I couldn't find one that I could afford, in the condition that I wanted, that s why I bought a 2009 Mustang GT. Even if I got a classic Mustang, most insurance companies have a ton of limitations and stipulations as far as how many miles you can drive them per year etc.
No, in 1962 only one Mustang was produced, the Mustang I prototype. This appeared as a two-seater, mid-engine sports car, featuring a 109 hp V4 engine and four-speed transaxle borrowed from Ford-Germany's Taunus front-wheel drive compact. Several more prototypes were built in 1963, including the car that became the famous 1965 (1964 1/2 to the purists out there) Mustang.
