I keep seeing this commercial for the Pirates free online game and a couple people I talk to keep saying its free this many months later as the game is a total blow. I wonder if its worth trying to see for myself or not.
Alot of online games intend to start charging and end up waiting longer before updating the game and charging or some other upgrade that would warrant paying. It may not be that it sucks, just that they are getting enough revenue from ads or what not.
I played pirates but I don't really like it that much. There is another game that I play called Wizard 101 and I do pay for that one each month. We have a family account set up and each family member is charged $6.95 per month, so it's not that expensive and it's fun to play. There are tons of missions and you get to customize your wizard. I believe with each family account you can set up a total of 8 wizards each. If you want to play the trial you can play it until you reach certain levels and then you have the option to pay.
