Engine Cold Protection

Inspired of the other thread-does anyone here try and reduce the cool down on your engine? As a habit picked up from my father, who always did this, I use a blanket on the engine at night. I'm not sure how effective it is, but he swore by it.
Truth be known, I think
Truth be known, I think that my dad just had such a bad run of poor, poor cars, that he had no choice. Be it the battery not working right or something else, something was cold sensitive. He has a decent motor now, but has the same run with poor computers…












Knowing plenty of people in
Knowing plenty of people in the bitter north who have no issue with their cars being outside in several feet of snow or more I don't do much other than try to prevent drastic temperature changes.
