My buddy brought his hounds over the other night and they did a number on the driver side door of the car. It didn't get the paint, just the clear coat. Is there a different means to fix these than deeper paint scratches?

This is the one repair I have seen done, the scratch erased, with a lot of work and wax. It won't be as tough as the clear coat, but you can at least make it look nice again.

I think that One Grand makes a glaze type finish that you can use, but when I have seen this done it was on a pretty deep size mark. How bad is this one of yours?

Its pretty light, kind of equivalent to if you drive by a tree too close. It makes those scratches that aren't quite deep but noticeable all the same. Drives me crazy between waxings.

There you go, I think that that a good waxing by hand should take care of it. The risk with applying a new top coat to the area is that you might end up with the clear coat looking lumpy in the area. You are better to just polish it out.
