Replacement Criteria

At what point do you decide that it's time to replace your Ford? I think that spare parts are not a huge problem for Fords, and so I never worried about that.

But cost is an issue. When a car costs too much to keep repairing, its time to get rid. My choice was always that a single repair that cost $500 or more, then the car was done.

Mine is normally any repair

Mine is normally any repair thats 30–50% of the value of the car or likely to just break again. I mean you can love your car, but if its worth $1,500 and you need a new engine even if the body is near perfect its probably not cost effective.
