If you guys need to find out if your vehicle has a recall (or defect) you can check it online at http://www.automotix.net/…recalls.html – It's a very easy site.

I normally just register my car with the maker's site and they keep me updated. My mechanic likes to read through recalls as well and knows which of his customers need to take their car in for something if its dangerous.

This is a great reference

This is a great reference site, thank you for posting it. I had a look through the list and it appears that there have been no recalls or defects for my cars… :)

This is a very helpful site. I found out there have been several recalls on my 1994 Lincoln Town Car and I wasn't even aware of it. One more that should be added is that the air suspension can be faulty after a few years. We had to do away with it on ours about a month ago because the air bags were dry-rotted. But considering it is 14 years old, I guess that was a decent amount of time for them to last.
