High Temp Paints

I have an ‚81 Escort that has a lot of peeling paint, especially on the hood. It was purchased second hand I don‘t know what type of paint or primer it has had used on it in the past. My brother used to work in an auto paint shop and has offered to paint it for me if I purchase the supplies. Any recommendation on high temperature paints that would resist blistering and peeling? Are there primers that are also designed for high temp paint jobs?

You don't need a high
You don't need a high temperature paint (and definitely don't want to see the price tag associated with them). You do need a properly applied primer, paint and top coat, just like you would if you were painting your nails. You also want to check the paint job regularly especially if you live in a high sun area without somewhere to park the vehicle or a cover to put on it when not in use.
