Diesels, are they worth it?
I never really cared for a diesel but my friends tell me that if you get a truck that diesel is the way to go. With the way fuel prices are and the fact that diesel is being priced much higher than it should be makes me think that diesels just aren't worth it. Also, I think that diesels are even worse emission wise than a standard fuel car.
Don't forget the urge to
Don't forget the urge to have fries…it smells sinful if you run biodiesel. Definitely not the thing for someone on a diet to be driving. I definitely think they have come a long way from the diesels we all used to know and for some people they make sense, but I can't say the average user would be good with a diesel truck.
Jason your right on that
Jason your right on that note of improvment. I have an uncle that is the type to swear up and down no disel not never ever. He now has one and for awhile it was good, but now he is thinking to switch back since all prices are a little wacky now.

Mostly true
From what ive heard Diesels have advanced from what they were years ago. Your going to start seeing more car manufactures start putting out diesels because they are about 30% more efficient than regular gas. The down side is that diesel gas costs more and as gas prices keep rising you have to really factor if its still economically viable for yourself. Here in California diesel is running about $5.75.
I dont really know much about the refining process of diesel but i had heard it consumes more energy and emitts more than regular gas to make it. But a plus side to owning a diesel is that you can put ‚Bio-Diesel‘ fuel in the car without modifying anything! Theres companies popping up all over the Country that are using landfill waste to make Biofuel. Only draw back there is that your probably going to need to change your fuel injectors a little sooner than normal, but thats a small sacrifice.
