CD Changer Issues?
My Escape has the in-dash CD changer that I use every once in awhile. I've heard that it is a known issue to have issues with the changer. Is there any way to prevent or fix this?
The one I read about most
The one I read about most is inability to eject the discs which is a complaint in some carousel CD changers whether in a vehicle or not. I've also read about it randomly working inproperly or having tone/volume control issues. I've done so much research I can't recall where I found it though. A google of 2002 Escape 6 CD changer might dig it up.
Just An Escape Problem
Did the article mention if this was just an escape problem or if it had been encountered in other models also? I have a 2000 Taurus and have never had any problems with mine. Maybe it was just that particular year and model.

It seems to be more about
It seems to be more about the type of changer, not the model or year. Anyone who works in home electronics can tell you the drawers used to get stuck on the slide out CD players, And I know some of the bid 100+ disc changers used to suffer a similar problem, so perhaps the flat tray and the movement of the vehicle just gets to be too much?
The only thing I can think
The only thing I can think of, as far as solving the issue is concerned, would be changing the factory changer for one that you buy yourself. Maybe buy a better one in the hopes that it functions more properly.

I haven't heard of any
I haven't heard of any issue with these, can you be abit more details or maybe give a link to something in the media that I cant seem to find online right now? I had a changer long ago that used to get stuck but that was a cheapy model too.
