..I have a friend who's got a 66 mustang and wants to know if its alright to put synthetic oil in the car. I dont see a problem, does anyone else?

Thats what I was thinking as well, but seeing as I dont have a full on oldie car just yet enough to play with oils I wasnt 100% myself. I couldnt track down my buddie, but its always better safe than sorry right? Stick with non-sen.

Yeah, oil can be a seriously tricky thing sometimes, especially where it comes to older cars.

That is why I would strongly suggest against using synthetic oil for your car, but you could always ask a mechanic for more info.

To be honest, I do not think synthetic oil is a good idea. From what I have heard, Synthetic oil will only work properly in a car if you have always used it, and I extremely doubt that would be the case with a 1966 Mustang.

Not really sure on that one man, I love my 65's, a 66 is a little off my boat but its possible. Has he checked with anyone else to see about it at all?
