OC Auto Show 2009

(Anaheim, CA) – Hundreds of new cars, trucks, sport/utility vehicles and crossovers will pack the Anaheim Convention Center Thursday, October 15 through Sunday, October 18, for the 2010-Model OC Auto Show.

This exciting event is more than an auto show and will offer ultra high-end exotics, concept cars, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Miss Hawaiian Tropic® Model Search and more. There is something for everyone at the OC Auto Show!

The OC Auto Show is one of the first shows of the 2010-model auto show season. Attendees are invited to check out all the latest vehicles in a non-selling environment, sit behind the wheels, inspect engines, learn about new fuel-saving automotive technologies and even take a spin in select models from Ford, Mazda and Toyota. The OC Auto Show will also give attendees an up-close look at amazing concept cars including the Cadillac Converj, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and Hyundai Nuvis, as well as several hot pre-production models including the 2010 Acura ZDX.

“The OC Auto Show provides the first opportunity in Southern California to see the hottest new cars and we are excited to bring so many new vehicles, concept cars and exotics to Orange County,” said Orange County Auto Show’s Co-Director John Sackrison. “This show is more than auto show as we have entertainment for everyone inclduing mixed martial arts exhibition, live music from the Tijuana Dogs, the Miss Hawaiian Tropic® Orange County Model Search and more.”

Look into the future of automotive design and check out the Cadillac Converj, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and Hyundai Nuvis concept cars. The Cadillac Converj concept showcases luxury, four-passenger seating and “no compromises” design – all in an electric vehicle. The OC Auto Show will also showcase the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray concept car, recently featured in the movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The Stingray combines styling cues from current Corvettes, the 1959

Stingray racecar and the 1963 Stingray split-window coupe. Also scheduled for display, the Hyundai Nuvis concept showcases a “tech meets eco” theme with 100% recycled materials inside, touch screens and dramatic ambient blue lighting. Large gull-wing doors add to this hybrid concept car’s futuristic look.

Follow the Green Trail at the OC Auto Show and learn about the latest trends in alternative fuel vehicles. Green directional arrows will help attendees find fuel-efficient and alternative fuel models on the show floor, as well as showcase new technology to help save money at the fuel pump and promote a cleaner environment. Several alternative fuel technologies featured along the Green Trail will include gas/electric hybrids and plug-in hybrids.

Along the Green Trail, be sure to get a look at the Tesla Roadster. Quicker than a Ferrari F430 yet is twice as energy efficient as a Toyota Prius, the Roadster consumes no gasoline whatsoever. It never needs routine oil changes and requires far less maintenance than internal combustion engine vehicles or complicated hybrids, resulting in dramatically lower total cost of ownership than a conventional car. Tesla Motors remains the only automaker worldwide manufacturing and selling highway-capable Electric Vehicles. The company has delivered over 700 Roadsters to customers so far.

Attendees are invited to get behind the wheel and drive several of the latest models from Ford, Mazda and Toyota while at the auto show. Showgoers will be able to test drive the new Ford Fiesta at Ford’s Fiesta Movement before they go on sale in the U.S. market. Toyota & Mazda will also host Ride & Drives to give attendees the chance to get behind the wheel and test drive a collection of new 2010 model vehicles, right outside the show.

A collection of dazzling exotic vehicles from Ferrari and Maserati of Newport Beach are sure to turn heads on the auto show floor. Vehicles including the Maserati Quattroporte, GranTurismo and GranTurismo S, and the Ferrari California, F430, 599 GTB Fiorano and 612 Scaglietti are all planned.

Further down the isle, attendees can immerse themselves in luxury and check out stunning exotics, including a $1.2 million Bugatti Veyron presented by The RPM Lounge™. The RPM Lounge features a red carpet, RPM Lounge promo girls, The Millionaires Lounge, live Web feed, live radio station feed and even a chance to win an invitation to an exclusive event at the legendary Playboy Mansion. Showgoers will also not want to miss the DUB® Magazine Celebrity Car Showcase, where attendees can check out stunning customized cars owned by music and sports celebrities.
