If you have been following the site, you'll know that I've been sitting on a brand new set of BFGoodrich g-Force tires that have been waiting to get installed since SEMA. Well im happy to update that I finally got them installed today. It was a rather painless trip to SEAR's automotive to get them installed.
Okay on to the review, I have been a Pirelli tire user for almost 10 years and now im switching to the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW tires (255 40ZR17). Right off the bat you can tell these are some seriously aggressive tires by looking at the tread pattern. I love the new look compared to my old tires.
One thing I noticed when driving off the SEAR's lot was a little more road noise coming from the tires, its not enough to bother me but you can tell there's a bit more stickiness gripping you to the road. I took my Mustang to a few of my favorite freeway on-ramps, you know those rounded on-ramps that say your supposed to slow to 20mph when you go around? Well I like to drive around them a little bit faster than suggested ;) These new BFGoodrich tires held to the road with no problem! I couldn't feel or hear any tire roll whats so ever which is impressive because when pushing my old Pirelli's to the limit on the same turns I always felt them rolling a bit.
I can't wait to get these bad boys to the track and push them around the chicanes. Im thankful to Jason Cenora at 281Motorsports for turning me on to the BFGoodrich brand. For more info on these tires check out the BFGoodrich Website.
