(Auckland, New Zealand) – For a really small local town car show they sure packed in a lot of metal. The show cars were some of the best prepped and shiniest cars I’ve ever seen. It was put together with help from the Southside Streeters Hot Rod & Custom Club, along with a local sponsor.
I think every decade was represented from the twenties through to the sixties. Fords were represented in all shapes and styles, with engine output ranging from the modest through to the insane, plus light through to modest customisation.
It always amazes me how much ‘American tin’ there is in New Zealand – and this show really brought it home – check out the photos and you will see what I mean. Make sure it’s on your calendar if you are ever down this way.
