(Fontana, CA) – This gallery features images I shot while covering the ChumpCar World Series event at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA on October 15, 2011. Here is a snippet of what ChumpCar is from their website: “North America’s home for $500 race cars and 24 hour endurance road racing. This series is for gear-heads; for people who love driving and driving fast. It’s for grassroots race teams and almost-race-ready cars”. There was handful of cars participating in the event that day with only 5 of them being Fords (all Mustangs), plus one sweet new Boss 302 I found parked in the infield that day. Because of the turnout and limited shooting locations I have included all of the images regardless of make/model to give a better idea as to what ChumpCar is all about.
