(Frostburg, MD) – Event Coverage of the 10th Annual Crusing Main Street Frostburg, MD.
The 10th annual Cruising Main Street event, sponsored by the Classy Chassis Car Club, took place from 5 to 10 p.m. To celebrate the 10-year milestone, the event concluded with a fireworks display.
Nostalgic cars, trucks and bikes participated in the “American Graffiti” -style cruise, making a 2.8-mile loop on Main Street. Special awards and dash plaques also will be given to vehicle owners.
“Last year we had a record turnout. We had over 800 cars,” said Mike Shockey, chairman of the Cruisin’ committee. This year seemed like it held just as many, if not more.
The event included performances by Ricky Howsare, winner of the 2010 We’ve Got Talent competition, on Broadway Street and American Pie on Center Street.
“It’s awesome to stand at the bottom of Main Street and see all the cars parked diagonally and to see the people sitting outside barbecuing on their lawns,” said Sandy Shockey, committee member. “If you are into cars it’s wonderful.”
